I found this very interesting especially what used to be considered "pure ADD" and what we consider now to be ADD. I didn't know that originally the people diagnosed with ADD had encephalitis or selling of the brain, and people with brain defects. Now that is certainly not the case. The different profiles of ADD provided here are very interesting as well. A very good read that I read the whole way through.
Interesting, but too much opinion and too few facts.
One of the best, most comprehensive pages I've read on the subject in 22 yrs of searching. Tho it is written for someone just getting a grasp on exactly 'what is ADD/ADHD' . The article explores not just the facts of the syndrome, but also some of the causes as well as case histories. I think this is an excellent article.
This is a very interesting think-piece. I wouldn't take a lot of it as fact because much of it doesn't refer to any good research that's been done, but it contains the kind of thinking that good research is based upon. I found the clarification of ADD as not a disorder, per se, but a set of behaviors that may start with this or that very helpful.
